Moody weather and muddy ground greeted the seven Swaledale runners who turned out for the spectacular High Cup Nick fell race (9 miles, 1500 feet climb) on February 25th. In a race won by ex-English champion Tom Addison of Helm Hill Harriers in 61 minutes, Tim Grimwood was first home for the club in 79.16. Martin Randall was next club runner in 85.21, with Rebecca Simpson first club woman in 89.44. She was followed by Becky Barnett (93.39), Jim Coldwell (93.52), Oonagh Bathgate (97.10) and Claire Stewart.
The following day two club members ran in the flat fast Snake Lane 10 mile race at Pocklington. Chris Sayer finished in 94.14, with Andy Broadley not far behind in 96.45.
Andy Gaines was the only member at least weekends Parkruns, finishing 5th in Northallerton in 23.01.
